The Trailblazer begins as two steels — 1085 high-carbon for the balance point between edge retention and toughness, and 15N20 nickel steel for resilience and shine. Folded and hammered into 288 layers, then ground and etched until the raindrop pattern surfaces: bright rings of nickel scattered across dark carbon steel, like rain hitting still water. That pattern isn't printed on. It's the forging itself, made visible — and no two blades ever carry the same one.

Full tang, so the steel runs unbroken from tip to pommel — nothing to loosen, nothing to fail when you're leaning into a cut. The handle is built in layers of its own: rosewood, resin, a copper spacer, and brass fittings. It arrives polished. Ten years of grip, weather, and campfires will make it something no factory could ship — a handle worn to the shape of your hand. The hand-stitched leather sheath rides on your belt and ages right alongside it.
