The Forge
The twist pattern starts as a stack of layered steel, forge-welded into one billet. While the billet is still hot, the smith grips both ends and twists it, then hammers it flat. That twist is what turns the straight layers into the rope-like swirls running across the blade. No two billets twist the same way, so no two Little Wardens carry the same pattern. The blade is ground from 3.87mm stock, which is generous for a knife this size, and fitted to a handle that pairs a bone scale with a polished steel bolster, held with screws.
In Your Hands
The three-inch handle fills the fingers without crowding them. The bolster gives your grip a cool, hard edge, and the bone warms against your palm. The thumb stud opens the blade with one deliberate push. A lanyard hole at the butt lets you add a cord or fob. The thick stock gives it a planted, no-nonsense feel that small knives usually lack. Folded, it disappears into a pocket. When you’re not carrying it, the leather sheath keeps it together.
